Boned 3 (Mandarin Connection Book 6) Read online

  The alarm sounds and four men come running back to the galley, just in time for the microwave to explode and one of them falls out of the plane.

  Using the bathroom door as a wedge, I shove really hard into two of the men, grabbing one of their guns and firing it into the two of them.

  I grab the other one’s pistol, lean out the plane, and double-tap the surprised Alpha Team dude whose sprawled on the ground.

  Walt peers out into the aisle and catches a round in his face.

  Yes, we are all wearing face protection, but the point is made.

  Travis slams the door shut and starts takeoff procedures.

  What is he thinking?

  I don’t think the plane is going to fly to well with the emergency chute deployed out its ass.

  Then, I realize he is just making noise to cover the other men.

  I look down the chute and decide this is a good time to exit the plane.

  I slide down, rolling off the end, and see two Alpha guys aiming at me.

  Continuing my roll under the plane, I come up behind the rear landing gear and cap them both.

  I figure that there’s at least two left on the plane, not counting Travis.

  I notice that the fueling hose is just rolled up over on one of the fuel trucks about twenty yards away.

  Hugging the ground, I get over to the truck.

  Whistling, I then walk the hose over to the front of the plane, making sure to pretend to be dumping fuel all over the runway beneath the plane.

  I come out from underneath, smiling at Travis.

  I wave the hose at him and pretend to light a cigarette.

  Travis starts to laugh, and pretty soon Walt is looking out and down and laughing as well.

  He makes this big gesture with his hands, like something exploding, and gives me a thumbs up.

  I drop the hose and walk back into the terminal.

  Someone will clean it up.

  CHAPTER THREE

  Stephan, Karl and I are eating breakfast.

  We sit at the round oak table, spread with delicious food.

  I am having a poached egg, some toast, orange juice, and coffee.

  Stephan blows on his coffee to cool it, and is enjoying sausage and pancakes.

  He’s scanning a tablet of some sort and wipes his finger across the surface occasionally.

  Karl is eating ham, eggs, hash brown potatoes, and some tomato juice.

  He also has a coffee.

  He’s reviewing some papers that were left for him by his First Mate, Dean, pertaining to his yacht the ‘Miss T’.

  I really miss Julie. And Tanya.

  I sigh inwardly, remembering our time onboard.

  The fun, the sex, the beautiful seas and the ocean skies.

  Especially all that wonderful, raunchy sex!

  I smile.

  Then, I look over at Bone.

  I really thought he’d drowned.

  The storm had knocked him overboard.

  I’d just made my peace with having lost my soul-mate, and then the attack had happened and threw him back into my life.

  I was relieved and overjoyed, and ecstatic at first.

  But, when I realized I had been fooled and the magnitude of the giant deception that had been done to me, I hated him.

  I sighed again.

  I got why they did what they had to do.

  I understand it now.

  Bone is sipping Chai tea.

  I don’t think he likes Chai tea, either.

  That’s weird.

  He ate his breakfast quickly - a steak and some eggs, some apple juice.

  I nibble on some fruit salad, that has raspberries, blackberries, cherries and melon slices.

  There’s some light syrup in it and powdered sugar.

  A variety of pastries sits on a serving tray, with a silver-plated tong on top.

  We eat in silence, each lost in our thoughts.

  Bone stares out the window, frowning.

  I wonder what he’s thinking.

  I think back to the night before, when I had taken a well-deserved victory bath, and just wallowed in the hot water for an hour.

  I was reveling in knowing that I had bested the entire Alpha Team!

  Of course, Derek wasn’t there, but that was probably a good thing.

  He was almost ready to return to action but was waiting on final approval of the Old Man.

  After my bath, I did my nails, and while waiting for them to dry, Megan, Kim and I had a Skype chat, about nothing in particular.

  I looked like a drowned rat, although the expensive bath towels I used to dry my hair and body hid it a bit.

  Kim remarked that Kady had said Brett and the Old Man were coming in for a visit.

  Kim shared the news of her new pregnancy with Megan.

  Megan had squealed with delight, and kissed the camera!

  Then, she confided that she and Derek had tried to make a baby, but it hadn’t worked out.

  Yet.

  Kim and I shared a knowing look over the phone.

  We suspected that Derek wasn’t the problem.

  Everything seemed to be functional, that needed to be.

for what?” I ask, rolling my eyes.

  “Blowing up North Korea?” I joke.

  Stephan blows out a breath, looking at his brothers.

  Karl neatens up his pile of papers, shoving them into his briefcase.

  Bone puts down his tea, grimacing at the last gulp he took.

  Hah! I knew he didn’t like that Chai tea!

  He stands up and shoves his chair under the table.

  They all three look at me.

  “We’re getting Om and Moms. Today, right now,” says Bone.

  Karl and Stephan stand up.

  “Let’s go,” says Stephan.

  We are finally underway, again!

  We are going to get Moms and Om!

  A car waits for us, and the Driver opens the door for me as I walk up.

  It’s an armored Maybach, a really big beast of a car.

  Stephan walks over to the Driver, and they speak for a moment, before the Driver thanks Stephan.

  Stephan gets behind the wheel, and Bone and Karl slide into the back with me, one on each side.

  Seated between Karl and Bone, with Stephan driving, I feel excited and scared.

  I talk quietly with Karl and Bone, and they assure me they feel the same way.

  We are all anxious but glad to be together.

  But, now that we have a mission, and one we can all get around, I feel even stronger emotions for all three of them.

  My passion for Bone and Karl flame every time I brush against one or the other of them in the car.

  And, every time I glance at the mirror, seeing my Stephan staring back at me with his beautiful eyes, it flares anew.

  CHAPTER FOUR

  “So, you do not want to talk, eh?” said the man to Om.

  “Your wife, she is not liking my attention,” he smirked.

  The man had moved a lit cigarette to within fractions of an inch of her most intimate areas, but not actually touched her with it.

  Om watched as the man approached his wife, again.

  Her eyes were tear-filled, but she was more angry than afraid.

  Anger, not fear. Frustration, not resignation.

  It was one of the reasons he’d married Barbara Bloomberg.

  She was one tough cookie.

  Her legs were restrained by paracord and had been tied to the legs of the chair after she had kicked one of their kidnappers so hard in his face that he’d been laid out cold.

  The others had slapped her around, but she spat and cursed at them.

  Finally, they had made her acquiesce by pointing a gun at him.

  She remained seated, not moving as they tied her legs to the chair, glaring at them the whole time.

  Then, when they had finished, she’d laughed, and started saying insulting things to them about their heritage and sexual preferences until Om had silenced her with a look.

  “If you touch her with that, you are going to be even more dead than you already are, asshole,” Om growled.

  “Dummkopf! You really think I care a whit about your whore-wife?” he said.

  He spits on her face, and slapped her across her left cheek, raising a red welt.

  Motioning to the other men, he indicated they should remove her.

  “Take this garbage to the other cell, and clean it up! The Master will want to have his way with her later!” he said to them.

  Om, finally truly afraid for his wife, shouted out.

  “Barbara! I’m coming for you! Hang on…” he started, but then all the air was let out of him in a tremendous “whoof!” as his torturer slammed him in the stomach with his leather boot.

  “Om! Dearest! I’ll be ready and waiting!” she cried, as the thugs took her, struggling against her bonds, into the next room.

  “Now, mein Kinder, ve shall haf some real fun, nuh?” the man laughed.

  Om could only stare with rage, trying to catch his breath, as the man picked up a scalpel and walked slowly towards him.

  “Here is where they are being held,” says Derek.

  I look at the man whose cock I had shared with Kim, grinning inside.

  Derek White is a man of action and a natural born leader.

  It’s no wonder he’s the head of Alpha Team.

  The Old Man, Admiral Reginald Decker, puts so much faith and trust in him.

  Derek managed to heal rapidly, (helped in no doubt by the TLC that Kim and I had showered him with!).

  Now, he’s heading the rescue team for Om and Moms.

  “We are going in as a three-squad, okay?” he points at the map on the monitor screen.

  “Team Alpha is going to be me, Travis, Walt, Bobbie, and Karl,” he says, pointing at the men.

  “Team Bravo is Tony, Chuck, Mike, Mike 2, and Nick,” he says, again pointing at the other men.

  “And that leaves Team Charlie, comprised of John, Al, Buddy, Pete, and Randy…” he stops himself.

  “Sorry guys, old habits. I meant Oscar,” he says.

  Everyone bows their heads a moment, and murmurs of “It’s okay”, “No harm, man” and “Cool, bro” can be heard.

  Poor Randy.

  “Weapons roster will be MP-5K’s, for Alpha and Charlie, entry teams, and UMP for Bravo, with William and Richard as cover-fire snipers, using the Barrett’s, okay?” he intoned automatically.

  “What about Bone, Stephan and me?” I ask.

  There are a few chuckles, but it’s short-lived.

  “Rachel, that’s a good question, and I was about ready to tell you. Patience, please,” he says, looking at me.

  Then he winks.

  That bastard!

  He WAS awake!

  And, I bet a thousand gajillion dollars he tattled on me and Kim to Megan!

  Ass.

  “Stephan is going to be Control, Bone and you are going to be Medical” Derek says.

  “That means that when we retrieve the targets, your job is to assure they are okay, and tend to any superficial injuries until we can get Al and Mike 2 or Walt aboard for full first aid,” he continues.

  “In other words, just keep them calm, and make sure they are comfortable, okay?” Derek says.

  “And, make sure to keep calm, and frosty, everyone,” he orders.

  The men all nod.

  We all stare at each other, mentally preparing as we each know how best to do.

  In my case, that’s trying not to think too hard about a Megan, Derek, Kim and Rachel sandwich.

  Stupid hormones.

  I am next to Mike 2, who is a strong, Latin dude, with tattoos all over both arms.

  I think of my own tattoo, and take a peek at it.

  “Why do they call you Mike 2?” I ask.

  “Actually, my name is Ramon, Rachel,” he says.

  I look to see if he is pulling my leg.

  “Really? Ramon?” I say, doubtful.

  He grins.

  “Ramon Jose Concepcion, of Puerto Rico, at your service,” he replies.

  “Well, why not Miguel, then?” I ask, exasperated.

  Mike 2 checks his machine gun, a short ugly thing called a UMP.
