I ignored the beeps as I started talking to Mom about my new roommate, my long journey here, and more importantly signing up to the clubs.
“Shoot, mom I forgot to find out if I could work earlier than next week.”
“Celia, you just got there. One step at a time, get settled and have a little fun. You’re only young once and besides, I told you that I wanted you having fun for once in your life. That’s why I did the doubles, even those triple shifts to get the money together for you to do something more in life.”
I sighed, “Mom, don’t start. You’ll make me feel sad. I know how much you sacrificed for me to be here, which is why--”
“You don’t need to think about the past, but only the future.”
I was about to say something when I heard a voice in the background.
“Mom, are you alone?”
She cleared her throat, which meant that she was trying to figure out a way to answer me, which meant that I knew the answer to her question.
“Mom, it’s okay. I’m glad that you’re not alone. You work too hard.”
I could hear the smile in her voice as she said, “Go have some fun. And send some snaps too. You have your phone now so that you can send pictures. Okay?”
She was right, I had a phone so I could take photos and send them to my family, and I knew all of this was going to open a new door for me in my life. Something that everyone did regularly was all new to me.
I decided that I would send photos and I didn’t have to worry about anyone else seeing them, because this phone was mine.
“Mom, love ya. See you soon.”
“Big kiss and hug from me.”
Then she hung up, and before I knew it, I was lying down on my bed looking at my phone. I didn’t have any messages from boys yet, just the clubs I’d joined, but hoped I would soon. Rachel was out for the moment and I was bored.
I thought about all the sultry text messages my fantasy boy and I would exchange, and how hot it would make us both. I nearly had to fan myself as I thought about it, but then reality set in. I wasn’t nearly as hot as Rachel. I didn’t stand a chance when there were so many gorgeous women like her around.
I jumped when I heard a knock at the door.
“Celia O'Donnell?” The person asked on the other side of the door.
It was weird hearing my name from the other side of the door and I rushed to it, wondering if this was a prank. Maybe the person on the other side of the door was going to do something stupid, just to catch it on video and try to go viral with university pranks. I’d heard of stupid things happening to freshmen.
Maybe it would help if I wore sexier clothes and not the black jeans and matching shirt I had on.
I opened the door with some trepidation but as soon as I saw the boxes next to him, I knew that not only was it not a prank, but my things had arrived a couple of days earlier than expected. I was pleased to see that not all of them were from the trailer.
I smiled at him and said, “That’s me.”
They were things that my family had put together to buy me, like my laptop, new clothes that my Nan made me leave at her house, so Mom wouldn’t feel bad if she found out that someone else had bought me clothes. There were also other boxes that I wasn’t familiar with, but they had my name on them. I figured it was probably more stuff from the rest of the family.
I felt like a real college girl now. I had only had a few things in the trailer, and I knew that the family was doing everything they could to make sure that I didn’t worry about a thing. I had to call them all, even if it did take my last dime. I could do with going on a diet and not eating for a while, to pay for all those calls. Besides a phone call of appreciation would make me sleep better at night.
I signed for my things as he wheeled the boxes in. I was impatient for him to leave because I wanted to see what was in the boxes. He soon left and I thanked him, but I didn’t tip him, I couldn’t even if I wanted to. I was a poor student, and I wouldn’t have enough money to buy any of these things if it wasn’t for my family.
I started to open my boxes. I was happy to see the laptop that I was promised and even more so, some of the books that I needed to buy.
How the heck did they manage to get these?
Clothes that I’d never seen before. Sweaters, pants, sneakers all new with the tags on them. That was something that we did all the time in my family, in case an item needed to be returned. I felt like a little kid on Christmas day, seeing clothes that I could never afford to buy and things that I never thought I would possess. As soon as I stopped feeling emotional about how lucky I was, I knew that I had to make those phone calls.
Number one on the to-do list would be to call them and let them know that not only did I appreciate them, but I loved them with all my heart.
Chapter Six
Keith
“Hey, here she comes again. She’s just a freshman, right? She sure acts like she owns the place, I see. Pretty bold for someone that’s only been here five minutes.”
“So, ignore her,” Grant, my brother, said as my eyes traced up and down the freshman’s body. As I raked her over with my eyes I wondered if she was really a freshman and not a senior. She had the body of a full-grown woman that knew how to use it, not an innocent girl, fresh out of high school.
She glided across the bar with a swagger of confidence that caught a lot of attention and I knew that she was headed in our direction from the way that her eyes stayed on me. It was a kind of dance, as she crossed the large room and swerved around other bodies. No matter how many times I tried to get away from her eye contact, she managed to stare right back at me.
Grant moved away from me like he always did when it came to girls. Not all girls, but the confident type, the ones that acted as if they wanted to be in charge of him, or rather us.
We were the only triplets on campus. Everyone knew us, and on this campus, we were known as the boys you didn’t mess around with unless you wanted your world rocked. We were the guys with too much money, good looks, and the ability to have any girl we wanted. Fuck, we had everything, and we should have been as happy as everyone thought we looked on the outside. But on the inside? Not so much. The inside was a whole different matter.
Music. Drink. Music. Dance. Fuck. That’s what tonight was about, but then I had a feeling tonight was going to be a lot different. My brothers and I did everything together. We were tight like that. We hated the idea of girls not being able to tell us apart, so for the night at least, the color of our hair was always a different shade.
Fuck, it really freaked the girls out how identical we were, and sometimes they’d get suspicious. Maybe we’d changed our hair color, just to fool them, they’d think with their eyes narrowed before usually calming down. I had to laugh about that because sometimes we did. At least until Grant got tired of changing his hair color and being questioned. He’d shaved all his hair off so people would know which of us he was. Now he looked as if he was in the army or something.
I knew it was because he wanted out of the game we’d played for so long.
He took after mom a little too much sometimes. He was too fucking sensitive for his own good.
“Shit, Keith, we need to get out of here,” he said as he tugged at my arm.
I knew that he wanted me to keep away from her. I knew precisely who Rachel Richards was. She’d only been on campus for a day and the guys were already talking about her. It was that attitude she had about herself that got their attention. One that made Grant want to stay as far away from her as possible and one that made me want to know her even more.
There was something about a girl with a bad attitude that always got me fucking curious.
“So,” she purred as she walked up to me. Grant tugged on my other arm to leave, but I brushed him off. He didn’t want to stay, but my curiosity got the better of me. For once, I ignored my brother’s desperate need to stay as far away from women like her as possible.
“I heard that you’re lookin
g for some fun tonight,” she whispered in my ear. And then decided to take a little nibble along the edge of it.
Bold.
I’d give her that, she was bold. I leaned back, a smirk in place. I had her in the bag already.
I loved her confidence and the idea of putting her in her place made my smirk a little wider. She wanted it so badly, and I’d be more than happy to oblige if she’d get down on her knees first. My brothers and I had learned a long time ago that she was the type that was all talk and hot air. She craved it, which meant that she would be like a fangirl, ready for it to be some fantasy that she’d dreamed about for decades, but totally unprepared for the reality.
The problem was, she had this thing all wrong. Women never came to us.
It was always the other way around. We chose who we wanted and so far, Grant wasn’t interested in her, which meant that neither was I. But she didn’t need to know that right now. I’d have my fun with her for now and then I’d put her in her place. Hard. Just like she was coming on to me right now, a little too strong.
I kept my composure under tight control, avoided her stare, and avoided the tease of her hot breath on my neck as she moved closer. Our eyes met and I thought it was a shame I’d have to let her down. I’d love to stare down into those eager brown eyes while I fucked her so hard that she screamed my name. Oh well.
“There’s three of us and only one of you. A little one of you, at that. I don’t think that you can handle us.”
I moved away, disinterest my only expression now that I knew Grant wasn’t up for it. I grew bored quickly, and if she thought that breathing down my neck or nibbling on my ear was going to move me, then she had it all wrong. I frowned and looked back at Grant. I felt insulted that she thought that she had a chance with me.
She had no fucking clue who she was messing with.
She didn’t seem fazed a bit by my display. Not a feather was ruffled. Instead, she smiled at me in a way no girl of eighteen should be able to produce.
“I heard that you like all types of girls. Rich girls, poor girls, fat girls, and even thin girls.”
That smile of hers said she knew things, things I wasn’t sure I wanted her to know.
What the fuck?
I shook my head in the negative, a warning that she needed to back off. For some reason, it didn’t deter her a whole lot.
Instead, her tongue traced over her lips and she stepped just a fraction closer, her eyes on mine. “Well, I have a roommate that can fit into one of the categories.”
I raised an eyebrow out of curiosity and could feel that this girl was bad news. I couldn’t deny that held my interest. Even if she didn’t faze Grant at all.
“And I have more friends. Friends that know what they’re doing.” She paused, looked down for a second, and then looked back at me, those brown eyes wide and innocent. “I mean that we could please you all.”
I nodded, thinking that she could please me for all of five seconds, which meant that she was all talk and not enough experience, just like I expected. And the way she said it.
Please?
What the fuck did that mean? Were we in the eighteenth century?
“Keith, are you coming, or what?” Grant poked at my shoulder, his aggravation getting the better of him. He rubbed his shaved head and ignored Rachel. The problem I had was that the sensation of her leg against mine wasn’t something that I could ignore so easily. It was as if she was a cat rubbing against its owner hoping for a treat.
I stared down at her, cute and ready to be fucked. I smirked at her for a moment and then turned to Grant.
I sighed as I took my gaze from her and looked at Grant. “Yeah, I’m bored.”
She gave in too easily, which disappointed me a little. I heard her sigh as I moved away slowly from her. I gave her a chance to change my mind and prove me wrong, but she didn’t. She did exactly what I suspected she would do.
Gave up.
Then, I realized that I’d judged her wrong as she stuffed something in my pocket.
“The number of my roommate. In case you want to have some fun tonight. The three of you and the three of us.”
She was persistent, so maybe I was wrong?
“Yeah, she’s new here like me and looking for some action”
I grunted, “Can’t your roommate speak for herself?”
I nodded in the direction of the other girl that had trailed behind her, who I suspected was a freshman too, but unlike Rachel, she wasn’t rubbing against me, let alone looking in my direction.
“Oh, not her. I have someone else in mind. Someone that I’m sure you’ll like.”
What did she mean by that?
I was going to ask her, but then I decided against it. Grant wasn’t interested and we needed to all be interested in one girl, not three. We weren’t into those kinds of games. I could tell that she had the wrong idea about what we were about here.
But then before I could say anything, she winked, and I remembered that she’d stuffed something in my pocket. A phone number for her roommate. What kind of girl gave out her roommate’s number like that, I wondered?
One that was either a really good friend that wanted her roommate to have a good time or one that was pulling off a very nasty trick. From the look in her eyes as she walked away, I knew she hadn’t come over here to play nasty games. Not the kind that hurt people anyway. She wanted her world rocked, but unfortunately, tonight, I wasn’t going to be the guy that did it. Grant didn’t want to play.
I headed in the direction of Grant and got the fuck out of there. I hated student parties even more now that I knew in one year we’d be out of here. It couldn’t happen any sooner for me because I was tired of university life and especially freshman students.
****
Grant had that fucking look on his face. That look of pain. It was a look that hurt me to see when it surfaced on his face. I knew it was emotional pain, not a physical one. Something that he usually tried to hide deep within himself. Being his triplet, I could sense it even if he did have a smile on his face. One that covered the darkness within him.
I hated seeing him like that and it was even worse to feel it coming out of him this way.
“Wanna go for a ride?” he asked as he stood outside like a wandering lost soul. I wasn’t sure whether I should talk to him or continue to walk in silence.
“No.”
I didn’t feel like hopping on the bike and going out with him. Not when I was in this mood. Besides my cock was so fucking ready for a good ride, but it wasn’t a bike it wanted to ride on. As much as I was trying to fight the feeling, I couldn’t stop thinking about thrusting my cock inside of Rachel’s wet pussy.
He slapped me on the back and said, “I bet you want to go back and fuck her, right?”
I nodded my head, I might hide the truth from people, and sometimes I might outright lie, but there were two people on this Earth that knew me well enough that I could never lie to and that was my brothers.
“Maybe we’ll get Colin and I don’t know…” I trailed off and scratched my head. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at this precise moment.
He wandered to a bench and we just looked at each other. Neither of us felt like going back to our rooms or doing anything in particular. I put my hand in my pocket, ready to call Colin. Colin was the eldest, by ten minutes, and he never let us forget that tiny little fact. He also claimed that he was the wisest, and sometimes, I thought he might just be right.
“Fuck!” I swore as something slipped out of my pocket.
“What’s that?”
I used my phone light to find it. It nearly blew away and that just pissed me off a little bit more. I caught it finally, and I stood up to see what was on the note.
A number.
One that I didn’t recognize. My eyes darted from the note to Grant’s face. I knew that in some crazy convoluted way, that this meant something. Not that I believed in fate, but this seemed almost like… Providence. Or something like th
at.
I looked down at the number and wondered. We’d had a hard time since our last girl, a really hard time, and I thought it was time we all got back out there. Tried again.
Maybe we should talk to this girl and find out if she could replace the one that we lost. And more importantly, if she could be the key to get my brother out of his sadness. Something just felt right about this moment. To get back what we used to be, three brothers who had one girl. We’d stopped doing that and we lost our way. We’d grown apart and I wanted that back. I wanted Grant’s smile and happiness back.
This number could be the answer to bring hope back into Grant’s life. Because my brother was a part of me, and his depression meant that there was a part of me that wasn’t functioning.
“What?” he shot out as he stood up and then slumped back down on the bench.
“We could find the one we need…”
“Shit, I told you that I’m done with all that. Once, you’ve been where I’ve been, you don’t want to go back. No. Fucking. Way.”
This time, he stood up and I knew that I was going to chase after him.
“You’re so fucking selfish. You are always thinking about yourself. Do you think that when you decided to run off that we didn’t feel anything? You decided that we weren’t brothers anymore and you had someone who could make you feel whole. Do you remember that?”
He shook his head and swiped his hand over his slick scalp. When he had hair, he’d run his hand through the strands, but now he doesn't have any hair. It was something that he’d done since we were kids, something that lets me know that I’d hit a nerve and gone a little too far with the point that I was trying to make.
“You think that I haven’t suffered enough?” he choked and put his hands up, not giving me a chance to reply. “No. You don’t fucking care. Selfish as always.”
“Really, bro? I wanted to fuck that freshman, have her on her knees and begging for more, but I left for you. So, no, I’m not like you. I’m not fucking selfish.”
