  I cut the call before he could say more, but I couldn’t bring myself to fall back to sleep.

  What am I going to do about this old man?

  He was my dad. While not always the best father growing up, I’d counted on him for a lot, and he didn’t always let me down. Since it was just the two of us and I had no other family, I wanted to believe him, but I no longer trusted him.

  Besides, whether or not he gave me the money, it was too bad since I’d already made a date with a new client tonight. She’d agreed to pay the ridiculous price, too, so I couldn’t just go back and cancel.

  This had to be someone really desperate to actually pay someone to sleep with them. I didn’t have to worry about too many people finding out, or trying it out, and with the funds, I got from my part-time job, it was enough to keep me going for a while.

  I wonder who it is.

  After some moments spent contemplating, I sighed and got out of bed. There was no way I could sleep now, so I might as well take a shower and start looking into those assignments. The group ones would be the most troublesome since I had to track down my group members, then come up with an agreement that worked with my current schedule.

  Later, close to midnight, I left to go and meet the girl. We’d agreed on the time and place, and she’d already put in the payment. My curiosity about who it could be was even higher. I had to sleep with this girl, after all.

  I hope she’s at least pretty.

  Stopping in front of a door, I double-checked to be sure I had the right place, then lifted my hand up to knock. I only hesitated for a moment, before I gave a couple of sharp raps.

  Do I have everything?

  I patted myself down. I had my phone, keys, and wallet in one pocket. In the other, I had condoms and a small sachet of lube. It had only been a few weeks since I started doing this, and things were already getting out of hand.

  Since my high school days, I’d been pretty confident with my looks. I’d lost my virginity as a sophomore, and I’d dated quite a few girls before, so I wasn’t self-conscious around women. This was hardly a normal situation, though, and I took the time between my knock and the door opening to compose myself. I’d have to be the one full of confidence the moment I walked in there. When I was sure I had everything, I relaxed. Then, I had a thought and checked my breath. I’d eaten a mint just before I got there.

  The door opened, and I looked up. The girl… was not what I was expecting.

  She was a few inches shorter than me, with dark hair that fell in waves around her shoulders and matching dark eyes. She was in a simple dress with flats on, and she looked dressed up for a date. Her head tilted back as her eyes met mine, and I smiled. She blinked, then cleared her throat.

  “Hi,” she murmured, voice quiet as her cheek went red in a blush. “Are you the one behind the sext me line?”

  I grinned. “Yes, that’s me. I’m Noah; it’s nice to meet you.”

  “Sara,” she said as she took the hand I held out. She pulled hers away quickly as soon as I released it.

  She fidgeted at the door for a minute, and I toned the grin down to a gentle smile. Now that I could see her, I knew she was nervous. This was, obviously, not something she was used to doing. She probably regretted messaging me in the first place, but it was too late to turn back now. While I could feel sympathy for her blatant uncertainty, I needed the money. I had just about enough funds to pay the semester’s tuition, and the deadline was quickly approaching, so I wasn’t about to give her the money back and call it all off.

  “It’s okay,” I murmured, and pitched my voice to a tone that shoothed. “You don’t have to worry about anything. Do you mind if I come inside? We can talk before we do anything if it’ll make you more comfortable.”

  She hesitated a little more, before she backed away from the door. I followed her inside, and she closed the door behind her.

  It was a little risky meeting in the dorms. Luckily, the school had co-ed dorms, and because some overly serious students studied until the early hours of the morning, it wasn’t strange to see people out so late at night.

  “Your roommate is out?” I asked and looked around.

  She looked at me with wide, anxious brown eyes.

  “Um, I don’t have a roommate,” she mumbled.

  My eyebrows jumped up. “Really?”

  That was so convenient. I shared a room with three other guys, and here was a freshman with a room all to herself. It was convenient for tonight, but I was a little jealous.

  Sarah didn’t seem to know what to do with herself. She glanced around the room, looking lost, then glanced my way, only for her eyes to flit away.

  She’s not the kind of person I would have thought would try something like this.

  This girl looked so shy and uneasy; I figured she was a virgin, or very inexperienced, right away. Had she ever even dated? She looked so anxious, and we were only in the same room together with several feet between us. None of the other girls I’d met through the sext line were like this.

  I wasn’t disappointed, though, far from it. Maybe it was wrong of me to think that way since I’d chosen to do this on my own, but it made me feel a little less sleazy, even if the others had been easier to deal with.

  “You look nervous, Sara,” I said softly, so I wouldn’t scare her.

  She jumped, then whirled around and met my gaze again. She didn’t look away this time, but her hands clenched into the skirt of her dress. I wanted to ask if she was sure about this, to tell her that we could stop if she wanted, but a part of me didn’t want to.

  “It’s just, uh… this is my first time,” she admitted with an apologetic smile. “So, I’m just, well, a little nervous.”

  My guess was right then. For some reason, her virginity really pleased me. I didn’t bother to ask her to clarify what she meant by first time, that was crystal clear already. Not a lot of college girls paid guys for sex, so that would be a first for plenty of them. She had to mean she was a virgin.

  “Have you ever dated before?” I asked, realizing after the words were out that I was anticipating her answer just a bit too much.

  Sara didn’t say anything, but she did slowly shake her head.

  Immediately, I wanted to grin. I held it back, though, because I didn’t know what my face would look like if I did, and I didn’t want to scare her even further.

  “You don’t have to worry,” I murmured.

  I hesitated, before I slowly started to close the distance between us. She stiffened but didn’t move away. I stopped right in front of her and raised my hand to tuck her hair behind her ear, and lightly grazed my fingertips along her cheek. She shivered, and something inside of me tightened.

  “I’ll be very gentle with you, Sara,” I promised.

  She blinked her eyes rapidly for a few seconds, then took a deep breath and slowly let it out. She nodded her head and looked a little less uneasy, but I knew I could make this good for her.

  It wasn’t my first time with a virgin, but I was going to take extra special care of the delightful Miss Sara, as I’d just promised.

  I was looking forward to this.

  Chapter Three

  Sara

  Despite the fact that I spent the entire day nervous about this moment, I hadn’t tried to cancel the date. If you could call it a date. My reservations about it all plagued me, up until the moment this gorgeous guy showed up at my doorstep.

  “Would you like something to drink?” I offered and pulled away from the light touch on my cheek.

  I thought the skin tingled a little and wanted to touch the place, but controlled myself. I could feel the heat of my blush and the way my heart pounded in my chest and tried to breathe through it. I was nervous and awkward, because not only was this going to be my first time, but it was going to be with a guy that I didn’t know. I knew of him, but I didn’t actually know him.

  Noah was attractive. I was right about that much, at least. Tall, with blond hair, blue eyes, built lean and
dressed to impress. He was also a senior and pretty popular, so while we weren’t in the same social circle, I had glanced at him a few times around campus in the short weeks I’d been there.

  He was the last person I’d expected to show up on my doorstep.

  “I don’t have any alcohol, but I’ve got bottled water and juice. None of them have the seal broken, so it’s safe,” I babbled, and felt my blush grow hotter. I felt like such an idiot. I looked around my room to distract myself.

  There were a lot of good points to having my own room. Not having a roommate meant I didn’t have to worry about sending someone off for the night with a believable excuse. The room was filled with a lot of my stuff and had a small fridge where I kept drinks and some snacks. I crouched down and buried my face inside the cold, bright fridge so I wouldn’t have to look at him.

  He chuckled behind me, and felt myself shiver.

  Oh, wow.

  Noah was exactly the kind of guy I would have had a crush on in high school and watched from afar. There was no way on Earth a guy like him would ever look at a girl like me. There wasn’t anything wrong with me. I knew I was pretty enough, and I was fairly social so that I could fit in to most settings, but he was older and far more important than a freshman like me.

  “I don’t need anything,” he said. “And it’s not because I don’t think it’s safe. Why don’t we sit down, first?”

  I looked at him over the top of the fridge door. He still smiled at me, a smile that said he was nice and gentle, like he’d promised he would be with me. Just the thought of the reason he was there was enough to make me think my face would remain permanently pink.

  We were… going to have sex. I was going to give my virginity to Noah. He seemed nice enough, so most of the apprehension had died. While I didn’t think it was something to just throw away, I didn’t see much point in holding onto my virginity, either. Besides, if I didn’t take this chance, who knew when it would happen? I knew me, and I also knew that the longer it took, the more conscious I was going to be about it, and I’d probably end up graduating college the same way I did high school.

  Get a grip, Sara. No backing out now, you’re already in this far.

  Besides, I didn’t want to stop. I was just awkward because I didn’t know what I was supposed to do. I rarely had guy friends before, there were just guys I talked to in school, so this was really my first time being alone with a guy that wasn’t related to me.

  “Sit down,” I repeated to myself. “I can do that.”

  I closed the fridge door and rose up. Noah grabbed the chair at the desk and turned it around. There was only one bed in the room, the only reason I was able to stay alone in this room. There had been an extra bed, but it was moved to a different room when I arrived, or someone would have been put in here with me. Other four-person rooms only had two or three people still, and I wouldn’t have anyone assigned to my room until all the others were full, especially since they’d have to add another bed to this room.

  He took the chair, and I sat on the bed. I’d made it up with new sheets. I’d chosen dark ones because I knew there might be a mess. I’d… even purchased condoms, just in case he didn’t have any. That had been completely mortifying, and I’d covered myself up with a scarf and kept my head down the entire time.

  Now… it was finally going to happen.

  We sat in silence for a while. I didn’t know what to say, but I couldn’t stop thinking, and then I could hear the sound of my breath as jt grew heavy and ragged with apprehension and a little excitement.

  “Hey.”

  I looked up and blinked. I didn’t notice when he stood up, but Noah had moved in front of me. I was ready to shrink back, but he fell into a crouch, into my line of sight, so he wasn’t looming over me.

  “Just relax,” he murmured, as he took one of my hands in his and squeezed it gently. “If at any point you feel uncomfortable, let me know, and we can stop.”

  I watched him for a moment before I nodded slowly.

  Noah stood up and tugged me by the hand so I would stand up as well.

  “Should we get started?” He asked, after a moment of watching me carefully.

  I thought for a second and nodded.

  “Can you… take a step back first?” I asked shyly.

  He moved without a word, and I reached my hands up, a little hesitant. I was ready for his arrival a long time before he’d actually shown up. I took a thorough shower and put on my best underwear, I didn’t know if he’d find it sexy or not, but I found myself wanting to know his opinion of me. After all, he was going to be the first person to see me naked since I was a kid. I didn’t work out, and I ate plenty of junk food, but I didn’t have reason to be too self-conscious when I went to the pool in a bikini.

  The dress I’d put on was one that buttoned up the front, down to the waist. I started to undo the buttons, glanced at him once I had the first one out, then paused and looked at him.

  “You already got the payment, right?” I asked, to confirm. Honestly, I really just wanted to stall the moment.

  “I received payment,” he said, his expression now amused. “And, you can take your time. I’m not going anywhere.”

  He moved back until he could lean against the desk, bending his back a little, arms draped on his thighs.

  “There’s no rush,” he continued. “We have an hour, and, when you’re ready for me, just say so, and I’ll be the one to make a move.”

  I bit my lip, because of his words, and because he looked so sexy just leaning there. I could feel excitement start to grow in my body.

  What the heck… I can't believe I’m actually about to do this.

  Still, beneath all the nervousness, I really looked forward to this. I’d thought of sex before, of course. I was a very healthy, sexually conscious teenage girl. If I’d had the chance to when I was in high school, I wouldn’t have held back, so why was I so nervous now? Even though it made me feel a little sleazy, I’d paid for this.

  Shouldn’t I get my money’s worth?

  “I am,” I whispered, then cleared my throat. “Ready, I mean. For you.”

  Noah grinned and pushed away from the desk.

  “Are you sure?” He double checked, even as he moved to close the space between us once more.

  I didn’t shy away from him this time, though his approach did send shivers down my spine.

  My hands were still on the buttons of my dress. I’d only managed to undo two of them, and there were several. Noah took both my hands and kissed the palms, before he took over and undid my buttons. His eyes met mine, before they dropped to my chest and my bare skin. I heard him sigh, and he ducked his head to brush a quick kiss over my lips that made me gasp, before he moved to my cheek.

  That was my first kiss, I thought. It was short, barely a few seconds, but I was still giddy just thinking it, and Noah had only just started.

  As he stripped me, he kissed me in places where I’d never been touched me beofre, and all my reservations fell away as I clutched at his arms and did my best to not melt into him. It was a battle I was about to lose.

  Chapter Four

  Noah

  I wrapped my arms around Sara’s waist and pressed my lips to her neck. I’d undone the buttons of her dress, but I wasn’t in a hurry to have it completely off yet. As I nibbled on her skin, I caught her scent. She smelled like she’d had a shower not too long ago. Her hair, where it pressed to the side of my face, even felt a little damp.

  She was enthusiastic and on board with what I was doing, but it was hard to miss that she was still nervous, not with the way she trembled. Or, it could have been excitement even though I’d barely done anything yet.

  Her arms were tight around my neck. Her breath was came out ragged and tickled my ear. I focused on those little things to try and control my own sudden excitement.

  I wanted to rip off her clothes, toss her to the bed, and have my way with her.

  Patience, I thought to myself. Careful.


  This had to be a good experience for her, and not just because she’d paid me quite a bit. A lot of people didn’t think much about virginity. I’d given up mine pretty easily, same with the virgin girls I’d slept with, but it was a big deal to Sara, and I didn’t want to leave her with bad memories of her first time. So, I reminded myself to be careful with her.

  “Would you like to move to the bed?” I asked, pressing one last kiss to her neck before pulling back to meet her gaze.

  She rested against my chest, her dazed eyes slowly focused on mine. She blinked at me a couple of times, then nodded, and we moved to the bed.

  It was a twin bed, which was unfortunate. I was a bit tall, and it didn’t look like it would be too comfortable for two people, but we were going to be very close to each other, so I didn’t mind. I shoved the covers aside before I gently maneuvered Sara down beside me on the bed.

  “Are you okay so far?” I asked softly, so I wouldn’t spook her or break the moment for her.

  A glance at her hungry eyes and parted lips told me I didn’t need to ask. With just one look at her I could tell she was more than ready to get on with things. But I couldn’t get it out of my mind, how anxious she’d been earlier. Clothes hadn't come off yet, and I needed her comfortable before we got too far. It would be harder to stop then.

  “It’s okay,” Sara said, sounding a little breathless.

  I smiled, relieved to have gotten a verbal reply. I wanted to straddle her, push her down into the mattress with my body, but again, I had to remind myself that this wasn’t for me, this was all about her. So, we stayed on our sides, and I went back to careful kisses. I nibbled and licked at her lips until she parted her mouth, then slid my tongue inside to taste her.

  Sara let out a delicious little moan as she squirmed her body closer. I stiffened, in more ways than one, but let my body slowly relax. My hands had been around her waist, but now, I slid one down over her hip to her thigh, then curled my hand around the back of her knee and tugged, until she slid her leg around my hip. I moaned as I felt the move bring us intimately closer. My groin pressed against her lower abdomen, and I heard her gasp when she felt my erection pressed against her through our clothes.
